Dive deeper into the world of sewing with our immersive "Sewing w/Mentoring" classes. Over the span of six weeks, these 2-hour weekly sessions are meticulously designed for intermediate to advanced sewists who are eager to elevate their craft. Each class provides an invaluable opportunity to master advanced sewing techniques, ensuring that students not only enhance their current skills but also acquire new ones under the expert guidance of an experienced instructor. And if you’re ready to conquer fit once and for all—this is the place. Our Advanced Pattern Fitting course is woven right into the mentoring track, with a focus on creating your very own sloper or a fitted pants pattern that’s ready for use.

Advanced Pattern Fitting
If you’ve ever dreamed of clothes that truly fit your body, this is where it starts. You’ll create your very own sloper—a custom-fit bodice and skirt pattern that becomes your go-to foundation for future garments. It’s a detailed project, so most students take two full sessions to complete it, with a little homework to keep things moving.

Top/Down – Center/Out Pants Fitting
Struggling with pant fit? This method is a total game-changer. You’ll learn how to adjust pants from the top down and center out—a logical, body-aware approach that makes sense for real people. The pace is flexible, so you can work steadily in class and finish at home as needed. By the end, you’ll have a fitted waistband, a fitted leg toile, and a pants pattern that’s ready to use.
