Bag Making Mentoring Classes

You will choose a pattern, fabric and notions for a project of your choice. You will sew this project with the help and expertise of a mentor as you work through fabric prep, stabilizers, #5 zippers, closures and other techniques to finish your project.

You may book a short pre-class session with the mentor for advice on choosing a pattern and appropriate fabric. Some samples will be shown at the studio for ideas.

The class is for advanced beginners or more advanced sewists who are familiar with their sewing machine and willing to take on a new challenge that does not require fitting!

Prerequisite

Introduction to the Sewing Machine and/or Beginning Sewing or proven sewing skills (based on instructor’s review), including proper use of the sewing machine, basic sewing terminology, pattern reading, and stitching with consistent seam allowances.

Cost

$130 for four classes
$30 for optional one-class extension

Student Supplies

Pattern with fabric and notions stated in the pattern. Basic sewing sewing supplies. Zipper foot. Awl is helpful.
