Kids/Teen Beginning Sewing Classes at Sewing and Fitting Mentor
Level: Beginner Sewists
Duration: 5 Weeks
Session Length: 1.5‑Hour, Self‑Paced Weekly Session
Our Kids/Teen Beginning Sewing Classes use the Sewciety Kids Sewing Program, a comprehensive curriculum designed for children ages 8 and up. At Sewing and Fitting Mentor, students attend short, engaging 1½‑hour weekly sessions over a 6‑week period. Classes are self‑paced, allowing each child to learn comfortably at their own speed.
Students of all ages and skill levels share the classroom, creating a fun, collaborative environment where they learn not only from the instructor but also from one another.
Our program is built around steady skill‑building. Children begin with simple projects and gradually take on new techniques as they grow. Over time, they’ll explore a wide range of sewing skills, including:
Quilting
Garment construction
Accessories
Embroidery
Appliqué
With our four‑year rotating curriculum, students never repeat a project. Each session introduces fresh skills, new techniques, and exciting creative challenges.
