Kids/Teen Beginning Sewing Classes at Sewing and Fitting Mentor

Our Kids/Teen Beginning Sewing Classes feature the curriculum from the Sewciety Kids Sewing Program, a comprehensive sewing curriculum designed for children aged 8 and up. At Sewing and Fitting Mentor, our kids and teens classes are short, 1 ½-hour sessions held weekly for 6 weeks, and they are self-paced. These sessions are perfect for introducing a unique talent in a fun and creative environment. Students of all skill levels and ages share the classroom, learning together and from each other. 

Our program focuses on skill-building, starting with simple projects and gradually introducing new concepts and techniques as students advance. Children will explore all aspects of sewing, including quilting, garment creation, accessories, embroidery, and applique. With our four-year class structure, they'll never repeat a project and will continuously discover new skills and techniques.

For our 1st-year students, there's an additional charge of $50 for each 6-week session to cover project supply costs. This fee is for each student enrolled and needs to be added during session registration. If it's not added during registration, we'll kindly invoice you separately for the project costs.

For our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students, your family can purchase project supplies on your own. However, if your family would like to purchase project supplies from our studio for these students, you can conveniently add “Project Supplies” during the checkout process.
