Join us for a special two day summer sewing camp to create your own historic linen shift—perfect for Renaissance festivals, SCA events, or period reenactments! In this immersive sewing experience, you'll sew a beautiful and comfortable shift using traditional techniques and breathable linen fabric.

Historic Linen Shift for Renaissance Season

Join us for a special two day summer sewing camp to create your own historic linen shift—perfect for Renaissance festivals, SCA events, or period reenactments! In this immersive sewing experience, you'll sew a beautiful and comfortable shift using traditional techniques and breathable linen fabric.

 

Part 1 – August 8 & 9
Designed for beginners and advanced beginners, this session will guide you through sewing a basic or basic-plus historic shift. Learn essential garment construction (choose between machine construction or hand felled seams) and create a wearable piece over two full sewing days.

 


Ready to level up your shift? On August 15 & 16 we have Historic Linen Shift- Part 2.This extended option is for returning or approved students who want to add fine finishing details like hand-felled seams, smocking, insertion lace, or embroidery. Students must first sign up for the Historic Linen Shift Camp- Pt. 1 session and be accepted into the advanced class.
