Most sewing patterns tell you to buy interfacing—but rarely explain which type, what weight, or why it matters. If you've ever stood in front of the interfacing display at the fabric store feeling overwhelmed by all the choices, you're not alone.
Interfacing is one of the hidden ingredients that gives beautifully sewn garments their structure, support, and professional finish. For years, high-end clothing manufacturers relied on quality fusible weft interfacings that weren't readily available to home sewists. Palmer & Pletsch developed their PerfectFuse™ line to bring those same professional results to the home sewing room.
In this hands-on workshop, based on Success with Fusible Interfacings by Palmer & Pletsch, you'll learn how to confidently select, test, and apply fusible interfacings. We'll primarily use Palmer & Pletsch PerfectFuse™ interfacings while also discussing other common brands and types you'll find in fabric stores.
Choose the right interfacing for your fabric and project
Understand the different types and weights of fusible interfacings
Test fabrics and interfacings before applying them
